As a partner at Booz
& Company Ramez Shehadi leads the firm’s Business Technology Practice in
the Middle East region and has done so through the last seven years of the
practice’s double digit growth. He assists public and private institutions
across the key industries served in the region – including the public sector,
financial services, healthcare, energy, telecommunications, media and
transportation – to maximize their leverage of technology in order to achieve
operational efficiencies, improve relevance of infrastructure, and develop
next-generation e-services. He has authored numerous publications related to
the technology-driven socio-economic improvement of the region.
In addition, Ramez
leads Booz & Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility Program, which aims
to deliver positive change across the region through diversified support on
essential themes, such as empowerment of women, environmental preservation,
healthcare provision, and other socio-economic issues. Ramez recently become a
Fellow of the Aspen Institute’s Middle East Leadership Initiative, which
networks proven, entrepreneurial leaders under the age of 45 to explore aspects
of leadership and make a greater impact in the Middle East’s public, private,
and non-profit sectors and society at-large. He is also member of Aspen’s
Global Leadership Network of 1,200 other Fellows from 43 countries and is a
board member of the Young Arab Leaders.
Prior to his career at
Booz & Company, Ramez was senior director of product development at
eBreviate.com in San Francisco; a senior associate at A.T. Kearney in Toronto;
a research associate at the Centre for Management of Technology &
Entrepreneurship in Toronto; a mechanical engineer at Stone & Webster in
Saudi Arabia. Ramez has earned a B.Eng. in mechanical engineering at Rutgers
University and an M.A.Sc. in industrial engineering at the University of
Toronto.
