Leila graduated in 1996 from the American University
of Beirut with both a Bachelor degree in Business Administration. After
graduating with her BA, Leila worked for six years with Libancell, a subsidiary
of Comium Holding, where she headed the Financial Planning and Budgeting
unit, and was one of the youngest managers in the company.
Leila joined Microsoft in September 2002 as the financial controller for the Eastern Mediterranean
subsidiary. In 2003, she moved to the marketing
department, holding the Marketing manager position for three years, where she
was responsible for the marketing strategy and the product marketing strategy
for the Eastern Mediterranean and Pakistan region. In 2006, she was promoted to become the Small
and Medium enterprises and Solution Partners Manager for Microsoft Eastern
Mediterranean and Pakistan. In that capacity, Leila was responsible for the
sales and marketing strategy and operations for the SME group, as well as the
Microsoft partner’s ecosystem and Microsoft Dynamics. Her continuous success
led her to become the Business Operations Manager for Microsoft North Africa,
Eastern Mediterranean and Pakistan in 2007 where her key responsibilities
included business planning, strategy and operations setting up a new subsidiary
in this region, as well as handling a number of strategic projects with
Microsoft International related to setting up new operations in emerging
markets.
In July 2009, Leila
was promoted to her current position as Microsoft Country Manager, Lebanon and
Indirect Markets (Lebanon, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria and the Palestinian
Authorities), leading the sales, marketing and service operations in these
countries. In this role, Leila will continue driving Microsoft’s mission of
enabling people and businesses around the world to realize their full
potential, through building great partnership with the IT ecosystem and
bringing the latest innovation to these markets.
Leila recently
received one of the highest achievement awards in Microsoft for her outstanding
contributions. She is a member of the Platinum Club of the Circle of Excellence
Awards.
When her busy schedule
allows her, Leila spends time with her family and friends. She is a passionate
adventurer traveler –and enjoys discovering new culture and new food.
Other hobbies include reading and swimming.
